Among the richest in Emilia Romagna by number of manufactured artifacts and original documents, the Castel del Rio war museum was founded in 1978 by the will of the common people.
Over two thousand pieces, strictly cataloged, are on the second floor of Palazzo Alidosi. Divided into three sections: the Great War, the Second World War and the partisan activity and the deportation of the citizens of Castel del Rio, the collection consists of finds and documents largely donated. Today the exhibition of the finds of the so-called named war reuse has been added, From the front to the hearth.
Every year, on the third Sunday of May, the museum of the Gothic line promotes the Militaria initiative, exhibition and exchange of military artefacts and exhibition of military vehicles.
The museum is open every Sunday and all holidays, from 14.00 to 18.00.
